ROY COSME
President

Roy Cosme created Arcos Communications in November 1996, as the result of a successful independent public relations consulting practice started in 1994. As a consultant, he worked on new business development and client campaigns for a variety of public relations agencies in New York City specializing in the Hispanic market. In this capacity, he managed projects for such clients as Chase Manhattan Bank, N.A., Pathmark and the New York Foreign Exchange.

Cosme leads the agency in strategy development for clients and manages account activity for some of Arcos Communications major clients including Prudential Financial and CenterCare Health Plan. He has also implemented national product launch campaigns for Proctor & Gamble, Roxane Laboratories, Gynetics, Smith Kline Beecham, Hoffman-LaRoche, and GlaxoWellcome.

Cosme attained extensive marketing experience during the last 20 years promoting and marketing products and programs in the public, not-for-profit and private sectors, including Bell Atlantic, AT&T, the City of New York and the Epilepsy Foundation of America. His experience extends into the public affairs arena, having served as Special Assistant to the Mayor of the City of New York, and includes strategic planning, policy development, issues management, government relations and program management. He has also spearheaded efforts focused on improving union/management relations.

Cosme is a native of Texas and has been living in New York City for the last nineteen years. He earned his Master in Public Administration degree from the John F. Kennedy School at Harvard University and his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Yale University.

 

T. MARC NEWELL
Executive Vice President, Account Management and Administration

Marc Newell has wide-ranging business and government experience and he is the producer of several critically-acclaimed and award-winning entertainment events. Mr. Newell has been part of the Arcos team since the beginning. He oversees the general administration of the agency as well as heads the production of some of Arcos' entertainment events. Since Mr. Newell possesses such a diverse background, he also lends his expertise to other areas such as creative development and program design.

Born and raised in Southern California, Mr. Newell studied business administration at California State University at Pomona (CSUP) and University of California at Irvine, before getting a Master of Business Administration from CSUP. He began his career in local government, administering housing programs for Mexican immigrants and seniors. Later, Mr. Newell broadened his expertise through career experiences in the technology, aerospace, financial and entertainment industries.

Mr. Newell strongly believes in finding time to be involved in and give back to the community. Currently, he serves as a Board Member of Manhattan Community Board 2 where he is the chair of the Arts Committee and vice chair of the Business Committee. On community board, Mr. Newell hosts an annual roundtable series on important issues affecting the community. Also, he serves on an advisory council and a nightlife taskforce for the Manhattan Borough President.

 

LISA GARZA
Producer and Senior Account Executive

Formerly a Producer with GarciaLKS and Match Frame / Cibolo Films, Lisa brings a vast amount of experience to Arcos Communications. She has extensive production skills and has developed award-winning creative for international accounts such as Continental Airlines and Anheuser-Busch.

Lisa has written and supervised the production of numerous TV and radio commercials for the Hispanic market (Texas, California, Miami, New York, and Chicago), including Humana, Macy's, Sprint, and Viajo.com. Bi-lingual, with her finger on the pulse of the Hispanic market, Lisa can swiftly and accurately pinpoint the most accurate way to reach a client's target market.

She is instrumental to Arcos Communications in developing and producing television and radio commercials for the Friends of Pataki campaign. She has hands-on, in-depth experience in marketing campaigns, and has distinguished herself by her ability to formulate and clearly communicate goals for her clients.
